Chocolate Self Serving Pudding

INGREDIENTS

Serves 6

Pudding:

  • 1 Cup of Self Raising Flour
  • 3/4 Cup of Caster Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 Cup of Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Essence
  • 30grams of Butter melted

Sauce:

  • 3/4 Cup of firmly packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup of Cocoa Powder
  • 1 3/4 Cups of Hot Water

METHOD

1.Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

2.Grease an ovenproof dish, I use a glass casserole dish around 2 litres.

Pudding

1.Sift flour, sugar and cocoa into a large mixing bowl.

2.Add combined milk, butter and vanilla essence then stir until smooth.

3.Poor mixture into baking dish.

Sauce

1.Sift combined brown sugar and extra cocoa evenly over the top of the budding mix.

2.Gently pour the water over the budding, using a spoon to break the flow. Transfer to oven and bake for around 50 minutes.

3.Serve HOT from the oven and dust with icing sugar if desired! Enjoy
